Map animation

I am interested in having a map made of Russia in 1882 that will show the pale of settlement and would then show the countries that it included at the time I am thinking it would start with a globe that zoom into Russia and then highlight the pale but i am completely open to a suggestion i would want it to be historical looking. it is for documentary films
