Dog & Cat Animation needed for Dark Comedy Short Film
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Hello!
We're at the finish line on a live action short film, and are currently in need of a motion-animated sequence to complete the project. The short film is a re-enactment of a reddit post that went viral. There's a point near the end where a character describes, for :22seconds, a series of increasingly ridiculous hypotheticals involving his dog and a cat. This is the portion of the short film we would like animated.
EXAMPLE: "What if a toddler breaks into your house in the middle of the night and tries to ride your dog like a horse?"
That is 1 of 5 silly scenarios, totaling :22sec, that we would like animated.
What style of animation? Whatever strikes you! Your go-to, easy/fun animation style you love. Could even just be sketches. All styles welcome!
The original idea for this, was to overlay the animation around our live-action hero, who is seated with the dog in his lap. Please see the attached still frame as reference. The camera is static for those :22sec. So, it's possible to have the animated characters doing their business around the frame.
However, I could also be talked into cutting-away to this animated sequence.
And I just want to point out that this animation doesn't need to be extravagant with detailed backgrounds, if at all. It can certainly be stripped down to just the characters (animals mostly) against a colorful solid color, or white cyc, etc. Or again, if we like the idea of them bouncing around the frame, placing them on transparent bg.
