3D Animator for Whimsical Kickstarter Video
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
Project:
We’re launching a Kickstarter for but cute—a new plush brand and storyworld that celebrates imperfections through lovable, weird, emotionally resonant characters. Think: a grumpy croissant crab, an anxious moon bunny, and a cinnamon roll bunny.
We’re looking for a 3D animator or small studio to bring these characters to life in a short animated Kickstarter video (60–90 seconds) that feels:
• Warm
• Funny
• A little chaotic
• Totally unforgettable
We’ll provide:
• Illustrated Character designs
• Storyboard draft & script
• VO (optional for now—open to handling it if you don’t)
• Direction and brand tone references
You’ll help with:
• Storyboarding refinements (if needed)
• Animation (3D, ideally hand-drawn or vector with character personality)
• Basic sound design (light FX/music syncing; we can source music if needed)
• Final video delivery in web-ready formats
Visual Tone Reference:
Soft color palettes, expressive character animation, playful imperfections. Think: the heart of Bluey, the wit of Adventure Time, and the scrappy charm of a passion project. Not slick and corporate—cozy and character-driven.
Ideal Collaborator:
• Loves storytelling and quirky characters
• Has experience with animated Kickstarter or brand videos
• Is comfortable working under a fixed budget and timeline
• Can match or interpret our established art style
• Will sign a Work for Hire + NDA agreement
Timeline:
We’d like to begin in the next week and deliver the final video by first week of June.
Budget:
