2D Animator for Historical Documentary

2D History Documentary Animator
We are looking for a skilled 2D animator to create engaging, historically accurate animations for a documentary-style video similar to HistoryMarche, House of History and BazBattles. The animations will focus on strategic movements, battle formations, and key moments in history, combining animated maps, top-down 2d animation and motion graphics to bring the narrative to life.
The narration, maps and most assets will be supplied. You're expected to create some simple animations every 3-5 seconds to keep the viewer engaged.
Project Scope:
Duration: 15-20 minutes of total animation
Style: Clean, minimalistic yet engaging, with strategic troop movements & arrows.
Elements:
Troop movements, geographical changes, key locations
Motion graphics for text, timestamps, and other key elements
Assets Provided: Icons, maps, and narration will be provided.
Accuracy: Historical accuracy is important
Resolution: 1080p, 30fps
Delivery format: .mov
Requirements:
Experience in 2D animation, preferably with historical content.
Ability to create smooth, engaging troop movements and strategic maps.
Proficiency in After Effects is a must.
Strong attention to detail and historical accuracy.
Ability to work with provided assets (e.g., pre-made maps) or create new ones if necessary.

Battle-map sequence: 5-10 minutes (top-down battle map animation with squares fighting)
Outro: 1-3 minutes
