2D Animation Illustrations for Fantasy Theatre
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
I'm seeking a talented 2D animator to create background scenes for a theatre play with a fantasy theme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and animate 2D background scenes that align with a fantasy aesthetic.
- Collaborate with the theatre production team to ensure animations fit seamlessly into the performance.
Ideal Skills:
- Proficiency in 2D animation software.
- Experience in creating theatre or film animations.
- Strong understanding of fantasy visual styles.
Please provide examples of your previous work in your proposal.
The production is based on the novel and film of ‘A Monster Calls’. We are hoping to use animation to create the settings for the “tales”. The film used the examples in the link below, but we are looking more for the foreboding tone, with an illustrated feel:

The opening sequence to shrek gives the storybook narration, but the imagery is too children’s picture book: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rmn12HszN8c
Performances in May.
