2D Animation
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
his would be for a very short animation of about 45 seconds to a minute. I would probably need more animations later, but for now it's just this one.
This would be a minimalistic, animated, drawn informational video of how taxes work in the US. No sound needed - only the animation. It would be 2 characters - an Average Joe and Uncle Sam. No background, just white is fine.
Please let me know how much this would cost or how long it would take and I will send you the specifics of what needs to be animated.
The video just needs a few elements: a bit of expression from the main character, and a bit of movement and exaggerated actions. I don't think the standard explainer video software will work to create these, as there needs to be fluid movement and reaction from the 2 characters, but if you can make it work that's fine.
It's a short video of 2 characters: an average joe and uncle Sam, depicting how the marginal tax rate works in the US. The analogy is: each tax bracket is shown as going up a flight of stairs - every step is another tax bracket. As Joe goes up each step, Uncle Sam increasingly takes a larger share. So on the first step, Joe gets a pat on the back from Sam, and Sam takes a dollar - they're both happy and smiling. On the next step, Sam punches him in the arm in a joking way, and takes a larger chunk of money, while Joe awkwardly laughs and holds his arm. On the next step, Joe gets gut-punched, and as he crawls up the final step, while he's getting up, Sam hits him with a fold-able chair WWE-style, and dollar bills fill up the screen.
