2D Animated Tribute Video ala Mission Impossible

Job ID: 39577836

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

I'm seeking a talented 2D animator to create this video:

[TITLE SCREEN: “MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT VOLUNTEERS” – with spy-style transitions and theme music]
[Genre: Light-hearted, office mockumentary style – think The Office meets Mission Impossible]
[OPENING SHOT]

Dramatic Mission Impossible-style music plays.

Camera zooms in on a slightly chaotic but cheerful office. Papers fly. Envelopes stack. A blinking light reads:
“URGENT: MAIL INCOMING”

NARRATOR (V.O., intense):
In a world powered by generosity...
Where donations arrive daily…
Where donations demand swift and accurate batching & processing...
Where files need to be meticulously archived...
Where Python scripts quietly save the day…
And chaos lurks behind every printing & franking jam …

There exists a legendary squad known simply as…
“The Volunteer League!”

SCENE 1 – “FRENCH CHARM & FUR BABIES”

[SHOT: JUSTINE at her station, archiving with style. Eiffel Tower mug nearby. A small photo of her fur babies on the desk.]

JUSTINE:
I speak French, love croissants & all things French. I archive batches faster than you can say “formidable.”
Merci beaucoup to our generous donors—and yes, my fur-babies are proud too. “Merci, mes bébés poilus.”

SCENE 2 – “HANDWRITTEN HERO”

[SHOT: Ken walks in with a stack of handwritten notes—each looking like a calligraphy masterpiece. KEN carefully writing elegant thank-you notes, framed photo of his new grandchild nearby.]

KEN:
I used to be a lawyer.
Now I write notes with the kind of penmanship judges would envy.
Also… (shows baby pic) I’m a new grandpa. He’s already got strong pen grip—must run in the family.

SCENE 3 – “THE DATABASE DETECTIVE”

[SHOT: CLAIRE at her computer, tabs open on donor records. She types with purpose. Background graphic: “Duplicate Found: Terminated.”]

CLAIRE:
I was once Head of HR. Now I deep-dive into databases like a forensic analyst. Incorrect entries, duplicates, return-to-sender letters? Not on my watch.

SCENE 4 – “UKELELE CUM LINE DANCING PROCESSOR”

[SHOT: JANICE humming a tune, processing donations, database cleansing, ukulele peeking out of her tote bag. She line-dances slightly as she works.]

JANICE:
They say processing & data cleansing are quiet work, but I add a little rhythm (strums her ukelele). Also—I line dance. That’s how I beat the paper trail blues.

SCENE 5 – “THE ADVENTUROUS RECEIPT-SORTER”

[SHOT: ANNIE surrounded by maps, postcards, letters and envelopes, happily waving at everyone.]

Annie:
I haven’t traveled this much since my last trip—but now, I’m travelling through donor journeys!
Also... if I haven't met you yet, give me 5 minutes. I will.

SCENE 6 – “THE DATA WIZARD”

[SHOT: HOWARD surrounded by screens, coding like a wizard. A Python plush toy rests on his desk.]

HOWARD:
Spreadsheets? I speak them fluently.
Python? That’s my second language.
I don’t cast spells—I run scripts.

SCENE 7 – “THE SILENT STITCHER”

[SHOT: MAIRI quietly cross-stitching a "Thank You" design, beside a pile of neatly batched mail.]

MAIRI:
Cross-stitching calms the soul.
So does folding over 200 letters with zero paper cuts.
(holds up cross-stitch: “You’re a star!”)
This one’s for the team.

SCENE 8 – TEAM HUDDLE

[Group huddle. Someone slaps a “Mission Accomplished” sticker on a mail tray.]

[FINAL GROUP SHOT: Everyone holding their “tool of the trade”: ukelele, Python plushie, cross-stitch hoop, fountain pen, stamper, beret or mug with “Merci!", a spreadsheet printout.]

NARRATOR (V.O.):
To the world, they’re volunteers.
To us, they’re the heart of everything.
Thank you, Volunteer League!

[TEXT ON SCREEN:]
To our amazing volunteers—thank you for everything.
Mission Possible—because of you.

Fade out with soft instrumental version of “You Are My Sunshine” or upbeat ukulele track.

Photos of the volunteers will be provided for personalisation. This mini-project is time-sensitive, expected to be done in a week's time, latest 14/7/2025.
