Animated Music Video for Australian Indie Rock Band
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 AUD
I’m looking to engage an animator to produce an animated music video for an Australian indie rock band that has a traditional country and western theme.
The band’s initial thinking is that the narrative should be 4 scenes: (1) outside scene; (2) saloon scene; (3) poker scene; (4) gunfight scene.
In Scene 1, the band members present as a rogue gang of outlaw cowboys approaching the outskirts of a small town. Shenanigans are aplenty. Think killing rattlesnakes with bare hands, tumbleweeds, can shooting, blazing sun, dust clouds, horseback, ‘wanted dead or alive’ signs, a faded town name sign etc.
In Scene 2, the band enter the saloon in dramatic fashion. After sizing up the locals, they settle in for a whiskey while eyeing off the locals. Think swinging double doors, remnants of bar fights, mounted animal head, suspicious cowboys, saloon girls in frilly dresses with corsets, drunken patrons slumped over tables, bullet holes in wall, local dog curled up under table, and a mariachi band which actually is the band members playing a second role.
In Scene 3, the rowdy gang decide to join the locals poker game. Trouble ensues as the allegations of cheating play out in dramatic/comedic fashion. The biff is on, followed by the leader of the gang challenging the ringleader local cowboy to a gunfight.
In Scene 4, the gunfight plays out, despite the efforts of the local sheriff. Once again, there are shenanigans are aplenty which lead into a dramatic/humourous ending of some kind.
Open to creative input.
Budget is AUD$4,000 and delivery date is end of January 2025.
Thank you!
