Senior Ionic-Angular Frontend Developer Needed
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer with a mastery of the Ionic Framework and Angular to lead the evolution of our mobile and web presence. In this role, you will be the technical lead for our cross-platform applications, responsible for delivering high-performance, native-quality experiences using the latest Ionic 8.7 and Capacitor ecosystem. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between web excellence and mobile functionality.
Key Responsibilities
* Cross-Platform Development: Lead the design and implementation of complex mobile and web applications using Ionic 8.7 and Angular (17/18+).
* Native Integration: Architect and maintain native bridge layers using Capacitor, including the development or customization of Capacitor plugins to access device hardware (Camera, Biometrics, Geolocation, etc.).
* State Management: Design and manage scalable application states using NgRx, NGXS, or Signals to ensure smooth data flow and reactivity.
* Performance Optimization: Optimize application startup times, scroll performance, and bundle sizes, ensuring a 60fps "native feel" on both iOS and Android.
* UI/UX Implementation: Translate sophisticated Figma designs into reusable, accessible, and responsive Ionic Components using SCSS and CSS custom properties.
* PWA & Web: Oversee the deployment of Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) alongside native builds to maintain a unified codebase.
* Architecture & Mentorship: Establish frontend best practices, conduct thorough code reviews, and mentor mid-level developers on Angular and Ionic patterns.
* CI/CD & Deployment: Manage the mobile build process, including troubleshooting native environment issues in Xcode and Android Studio, and utilizing Appflow or similar CI/CD tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Experience: 5+ years of professional frontend development, with at least 3 years focused on Ionic and Angular.
* Ionic Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of Ionic 8.x (including the latest standalone component patterns and routing).
* Capacitor Expert: Deep experience with Capacitor (migrating from Cordova is a plus) and managing native project configurations.
* Angular Proficiency: Strong command of TypeScript, RxJS, Angular CLI, and the latest Angular features (Signals, Standalone Components, Deferrable Views).
* Native Environment Knowledge: Proficiency in using Xcode and Android Studio for debugging and signing builds.
* Web Fundamentals: Expert knowledge of HTML5, Modern CSS/SCSS, and Flexbox/Grid layouts.
* Testing: Experience with unit testing (Jasmine/Karma/Jest) and E2E testing (Cypress or Playwright).
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Ionic Portals or Live Updates via Ionic Cloud services.
* Knowledge of mobile security best practices (OWASP Mobile, Certificate Pinning, Secure Storage).
* Familiarity with backend integration using REST or GraphQL.
