Senior Full-Stack JS Engineer
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I’m refreshing an existing web platform and need a seasoned full-stack specialist to lead daily feature work while tightening the overall architecture. JavaScript is at the heart of everything we ship, so I’m looking for someone who lives and breathes the language, writes clean, testable code, and navigates both browser and server environments with ease.
Front-end work will revolve around React and Angular. You should feel comfortable moving between the two—building new SPA modules in React while maintaining or modernising legacy Angular screens. If you also know Vue.js that’s a plus, but not required.
On the back end the stack is Node.js. Expect to design RESTful (and eventually GraphQL) endpoints, model data, optimise queries, and wire the service layer to whatever React or Angular component needs it. Familiarity with Express, TypeScript, automated testing, and containerised deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) will make you productive from day one.
Immediate goals
• Ship a proof-of-concept feature end-to-end (UI, API, tests, basic docs).
• Identify quick wins in the current codebase that improve performance or developer experience.
• Draft a roadmap for scaling the platform as traffic grows.
Success for this engagement means your pull requests merge cleanly, tests pass in CI, and stakeholders can demo the new feature without manual fixes. If the collaboration goes well there’s plenty more roadmap ahead, so I’m keen to find someone who enjoys long-term product thinking as much as writing great code.
