Spring boot - angular small fix.

This is a spring boot angular project.
My boss requires to add 1 search field in the ui. The answer would be the result of calling a store procedure. I can do backend task, but I'm struggling with ui because I'm new totally with angular, and I'm got stuck in:
1. Sync files compiled by angular with the one used in resources path in java project. The issue: I can't see the changes updates.
2. Add the search component to my ui and do the call task to get the answer required.
I would like it to achieve it in a couple of hrs or so with your help.
