Senior Full Stack Developer - Logistics Platform MVP

Role Overview
We're looking for a versatile full-stack developer with cloud experience to implement our logistics platform MVP. The ideal candidate will have experience with serverless architectures and be adaptable across multiple cloud platforms. This is a contract role with potential for long-term engagement as we secure funding and scale.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement a serverless backend architecture for our logistics platform
• Develop APIs for user management, job assignments, and real-time tracking
• Build responsive web interfaces for admin, company, and driver portals
• Implement basic route optimization and assignment algorithms
• Set up data collection pipelines for future AI/ML integration
• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure with security best practices
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer
Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years experience with serverless architecture (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or Google Cloud Functions)
• Strong proficiency in Node.js/JavaScript or Python
• Experience with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Firestore)
• Familiar with authentication systems (Cognito, Auth0, Firebase Auth)
• Experience integrating mapping services (Google Maps, Mapbox, HERE)
• Understanding of basic route optimization algorithms
• React or similar frontend framework experience
• Git and CI/CD pipeline experience
• Strong backend serverless experience
• Experience integrating frontend applications with serverless backends
• Familiarity with API design and implementation
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with multiple cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Knowledge of geospatial data and location-based services
• Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes
• Understanding of transportation/logistics industry challenges
• Previous experience with transportation or delivery applications
• Background in implementing optimization algorithms (VRP, TSP)
• Experience with data collection for AI/ML applications
