We are looking for a skilled and trustworthy full-stack developer to help us modify a legitimately acquired open-source SaaS platform. Due to our partnership split. The objective is to remove unauthorized licensing logic that was introduced via a recent update, which now imposes restrictions through callbacks, validations, and external checks.
This is a one-time code audit and customization task and is fully compliant with our usage rights.

We own the full source code of a SaaS application with the following stack:
• Frontend: Vue.js
• Backend: Node.js
• Database: MongoDB

Responsibilities
Your core tasks will include:
• Audit the codebase and identify all licensing dependencies, including:
o Remote key validation mechanisms
o Callback requests to third-party servers
o Conditionals or access blocks based on license states
• Remove or disable these mechanisms without impacting system integrity
• Install and deploy the updated system to a live environment for functional verification
• Deliver a comprehensive change report, documenting:
o All modified or deleted files and line numbers

We’re seeking someone who:
• Has strong expertise in Vue.js, Node.js, and MongoDB
• Is experienced in removing or auditing licensing logic from SaaS applications
• Understands the structure and flow of monorepo-based codebases
• Can detect and interpret obfuscated or conditional logic
• Is mindful of legal and ethical practices in software modification
