RESTful Web Backend API Development
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I need a clean, well-structured RESTful API to power the backend of my web application. The API should follow standard HTTP methods, return JSON, and be easy to extend as new features roll out.
Here is what I’m aiming for:
• Core endpoints mapped to the current front-end views, complete with pagination, filtering, and consistent status codes.
• Secure authentication and authorization—token-based (JWT or similar) so sessions remain stateless.
• Clear versioning from the start to avoid breaking changes later.
• Auto-generated documentation (Swagger / OpenAPI preferred) so anyone joining the team can explore the endpoints quickly.
• Robust error handling and unit tests to catch edge cases before they reach production.
I will provide database access details, existing front-end routes, and any additional field requirements once we kick off. Please include example projects or brief code snippets that show your RESTful design style and testing practices.
Acceptance criteria: functioning endpoints aligned with the agreed route list, tests passing in the CI pipeline, and documentation accessible from a single URL. If you have suggestions on optimising response times or database queries, I’m all ears—this backend needs to scale smoothly as traffic grows.
