Programming coach/mentor to help me adjust to the first three months on the job
Budget: $50 – $0 USD
I am looking for an experienced developer with experience coaching/mentoring junior developers.
I am just finishing my first month as a professional developer. I want to meet with someone twice a week for the next two months to ensure that the next two months of my career go well.
Our tech stack is NestJS, PostgreSQL, and Angular. I'm not just looking for help with the tech though. I'm also looking for help with:
(1) I want help managing my coworkers, including advice on how I should act
(2) I want help orienting myself to handling tickets, especially in circumstances where I am given vague specifications
(3) I want support keeping track of everything going on in the environment, so that my pull requests and code reviews go well.
I expect you to investigate the current situation, including the past week to month, to discover what issues I'm having at work. Then, I expect you to recommend how I should proceed, and meet with me twice weekly.
The ideal candidate:
- Likes to help other people succeed
- has experience with kanban project management
- the ability to communicate clearly
- Write "I am a human" at the top of your proposal
- English as a first language is a plus
