Employee Records Web Application
Project Overview:
This document outlines the requirements and specifications for developing a web application that allows CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations on employee records using Angular (version 14+) and Core PHP. The application will connect to a MySQL database for data storage and retrieval.
Requirements
Functional Requirements
1. CRUD Operations:
o Create new employee records.
o Read/view existing employee records.
o Update existing employee records.
o Delete employee records.
2. User Authentication:
o Implement JWT (JSON Web Token) for secure API access.
o User login and session management.
3. Responsive Design:
o Maintain the responsiveness of static pages as seen in the provided URL.
o Ensure that the design layout and color scheme match the static pages.
4. API Development:
o Develop secure APIs in Core PHP for all CRUD operations.
o APIs should be well-documented and follow RESTful principles.
5. Database Setup:
o Create a MySQL database to store employee records.
o Design the database schema based on the CRUD requirements.
Non-Functional Requirements
1. Security:
o Use secure methods for API access (JWT).
o Protect against common vulnerabilities (SQL injection, XSS, etc.).
2. Code Quality:
o Follow best practices for coding standards in Angular and PHP.
o Use Git for version control; commit daily progress.
3. Documentation:
o Provide clear documentation for API endpoints.
o Comment code adequately for maintainability.
Deliverables
1. Web Application:
o Fully functional Angular application with CRUD capabilities.
o Core PHP APIs with proper security measures.
o MySQL database with necessary tables and relationships.
2. Documentation:
o API documentation detailing endpoints, request/response formats, and error handling.
o User guide for application usage.
3. Git Repository:
o A private Git repository with daily commits reflecting the work completed.
Development Process
1. Environment Setup:
o Ensure the development environment is set up with the necessary tools (Node.js, Angular CLI, PHP, MySQL).
2. API Development:
o Create the required PHP APIs for CRUD operations.
o Implement JWT authentication for secure access.
3. Frontend Development:
o Convert static pages from the provided URL to dynamic Angular components.
o Ensure that responsiveness is maintained.
4. Integration:
o Connect the Angular application with the Core PHP APIs.
o Test CRUD operations to ensure data flow is functioning correctly.
5. Testing:
o Perform unit and integration testing.
o Ensure all functionalities are working as intended.
6. Deployment:
o Prepare the application for deployment in a production environment.
o Ensure that all security measures are in place.
Additional Notes
All static pages and designs are provided
