Dark mode toggle switch: For the whole app
Required Features:
Core Auth + Institution Setup
Subdomain-based institution separation (e.g., abc.lms.com)
JWT login (no signup)
Role-based users: Admin, Faculty, Student, Librarian
Profile completion after first login
Logout + session management (1 device per session, inactivity timeout)
Forgot password via phone OTP
Internal Library + Course Books
Upload and manage digital books (PDF, video, audio, EPUB)
Upload and track physical books (title, author, ISBN, quantity)
Book borrow/return via QR link (scanned using mobile browser)
Borrow logs with timestamp, user info
Admin controls for book, program, semester and course management
File storage on R2
External Library Integration + Reader
Unified external search: Google Books, Open Library, Internet Archive, DOAB, Librivox, Semantic Scholar
Fullscreen digital reader: PDF, EPUB, audio, video
Highlight, take notes, bookmark content
Admin Dashboard + User/Content Management
Admin can:
Manage users (assign roles, deactivate, bulk import)
Manage programs → semesters → courses → course books
View user logs, borrowing activity
Soft-delete content
Librarian: QR-based inventory dashboard
Faculty: View all programs/courses
Students: View assigned programs, semesters, courses, books only
System Requirements:
Multi-institution support via subdomains
Custom branding per institution (logo, name, theme)
Responsive UI (no Tailwind)
Minimal external dependencies
All content roles and routes must be secured by middleware
Future mobile app extensibility (React Native compatible structure)
