Mixed-Use Compliance Dashboard Build
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a web-based dashboard that continuously tracks compliance for a portfolio of mixed-use properties. The system must pull together every rule that can jeopardize operations—local zoning laws, rent-control limits, tenant-compliance statutes, building safety codes, environmental regulations, and any future rule we add—then flag risks before they become violations.
Core functions I must see from day one:
• Real-time alerts: instant email/SMS or in-app notifications the moment a threshold is breached or a document nears expiry.
• Compliance reporting: on-demand and scheduled PDF/Excel outputs that summarise status by property, rule category, and time period. Charts and colour-coded heat maps are welcome if they stay clear and printable.
• Document management: secure upload, OCR tagging, expiry reminders, and easy retrieval for audits (drag-and-drop interface preferred).
Tech stack is your choice as long as it is mainstream, maintainable, and browser-based—think React, Vue, or Angular on the front end; Node, Django, or Laravel on the back; and a SQL database with proper indexing for speed. APIs and webhooks should be structured so I can integrate IoT sensors or municipal open-data feeds later.
Acceptance criteria
1. Dashboard loads in under 3 seconds with 1,000 active property records.
2. New regulation categories can be added through an admin panel—no code changes.
3. All alerts, reports, and document metadata log to an audit table with time stamp and user ID.
4. Unit tests cover critical compliance-calculation functions at 90 %+.
5. Complete hand-off: source code in Git, minimal setup guide, and a quick Loom walkthrough.
