Migrate Angular & Ionic Application to React with Vite
Budget: $100 – $500 USD
We are seeking an experienced Frontend Developer specializing in modern JavaScript frameworks to migrate our existing application from Angular & Ionic to React, using Vite as the build tool. This project involves a comprehensive overhaul of our app's frontend architecture, transitioning away from Angular and Ionic frameworks to leverage the performance and flexibility of React.
Responsibilities:
- Project Analysis: Review the current Angular & Ionic codebase to understand the structure, dependencies, and functionality.
Setup & Configuration: Initialize a new project using React and Vite, setting up the necessary development environment and tooling.
- Component Migration: Convert Angular components to React components, ensuring that all UI elements and interactions are preserved and optimized for React.
- State Management Transition: Migrate services and state management solutions from Angular to appropriate React alternatives, such as Context API, Hooks, or Redux, ensuring seamless state handling and component reactivity.
- Routing and Navigation: Implement React Router for application routing, translating the existing Angular routing setup to a React-compatible architecture.
- Styling: Migrate and integrate existing styles and layouts into the new React application, adapting Angular styles to React's styling approach.
Optimization and Vite Configuration: Leverage Vite's capabilities to optimize the application's build and development processes, configuring the tool to suit the project's specific needs.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Update or rewrite existing tests for the React environment, ensuring the application maintains its functionality and reliability. Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve any issues arising from the migration.
- Documentation: Document the migration process, changes made, and any important decisions to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in developing applications with React.js and familiarity with Vite.
Strong understanding of Angular and Ionic frameworks, with practical experience in developing and maintaining Angular applications.
Proficiency in state management patterns and solutions applicable to React.
Experience with React Router and modern JavaScript (ES6+), including hooks and functional components.
Ability to translate Angular services and components to React equivalents efficiently.
Knowledge of CSS and pre-processing frameworks (SASS, LESS) with the ability to migrate and adapt existing styles to React.
Experience with unit and integration testing in JavaScript frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Project Duration:
To be determined based on the scope after initial codebase review.
How to Apply:
Please submit your application along with a portfolio showcasing relevant projects. Include a brief outline of your approach to migrating Angular & Ionic applications to React and any experiences with similar migrations or projects. Also please include the safe word “pincel” in your proposal so we know you read it carefully.
