Developer with AI experienced required to AI ’ify our project schedule visualisation app -- 2
Budget: £3,000 – £5,000 GBP
We are looking for a software developer with AI experience to help integrate AI into our timeline drawing application. Initially a surge for one month to support our existing development team. Further long term work very likely under guidance of the existing team. Preferably UK based or as close to UK timezone as possible.
The spec is below - we are looking for fixed price quotations. We appreciate you will need more details in order to quote and we are happy to have those discussions with those who have the relevant skills and experience at which point we will refine the specification as needed. So in the first instance please provide the following;

## Overview
Our web application is a project and portfolio timeline generation tool which takes data and creates very cool visually well laid out schedules. The application is already ideally placed to provide service to the natural language world and provide world class schedule visuals surpassing anything currently available. The timeline generation code is already complete and is driven the traditional way with users point , click and drag to create timelines. We want to integrated AI into it so the user can use plain language to create their timelines and also made available to users of ChatGPT, N8N and Zapier. We are not anticipating we need to train AI in our model.
As the app is already written we do not anticipate any visual development work will be required - We need the part which establishes the interface to the AI world , the set up of the API internal structure and perhaps a little but of housekeeping in the code to accommodate the API calls triggering the correct functions.
Also required will be updating our website pricing model to automatically allow users to sign up to the service (see details below)
## Deadline and time expectations
This needs to be started within one week and completed within 4 weeks. This is a strict deadline so we will structure the contract accordingly to incentivise completion. Anyone who cannot commit full time to this need not apply. There will very likely be long term less intensive work.

1. **Part 1: AI-Powered Natural Language Planning** – Users describe their plan in **plain English**, and generates a structured timeline.
2. **Part 2: AI & API Integration for External AI Users** – Provide an **API & embed links** so ChatGPT, N8N, Zapier and other AI interfaces can generate and visualize schedules in our tool.
## Example Use Cases
### Internal Users
We will provide users a text box in our UI for them to type their request into. Commands will be of the nature
- User types “*Create three milestones in Feb 2029. Color them all blue*.”
- This app already has the capability do draw bars as a core function. We do not have natural language processing.
- We anticipate our app passing the request to Chat GPT to parse the language and receive back a JSON identifying the API calls which will create that image. How will ChatGPT know what our API calls are?
- Our app will use the JSON API to identify what functions are to be called to create the data in the system whcih then draws the timeline for the user per its current function (the data schema, and code to draw already exists - all that should be needed here is ensuring the right functions are called when the JSON is received. There may be some internal changes to ensure the functions are structured appropriately.
## **External Users - Using the Chat GPT interface, N8N interface or Zapier**
- As per “internal users” above plus the following which is NOT part of our app and is part of your scope;
- Users of chat GPT interface are to be provided a graphical image and/or a link to download the image.
- We would like that to also if possible contain a link to our app so that the user can create an account and save the image they have just generated and manipulate it further within our app. We can discuss details of this.
- Our logo to be visible
- The image is to be hosted on our internal servers or some other cheaper public hosting service
## Monetisation
### Subscription-Based Model (for B2B)
We currently have a three tier pricing system - starter, pro and enterprise.
### Pay per use Model
This does not exist
- you will introduce a pay per use tier for occasional users (AI, automation (N8N, Zapier), shareable timelines)
- Introduce a credit charging system for the existing subscribers to buy credits in batches of 5, 10 , 20 etc and it will cost one credit per AI generation call.
- Our starter/pro/enterprise tiers to have 10/100/500 free credits.
### **API Monetization for External AI & Automation Tools**
- Charge businesses **for API access** so their AI tools (ChatGPT, N8N, Zapier) can create and visualize plans. TODO; make our api avialable to external users and businesses and advertise this in our web pricing page
- Offer **free basic API calls** + **paid API for heavy users**.
- **Monetize Shareable Links & Reports**
1. **Charge external users for PDF/CSV exports of AI-generated plans** (e.g., **$5 per AI-enhanced report**).
