Angular expert needed to eliminate app crashes and performance issues..
Budget: £5,000 – £10,000 GBP
We have a single-page PWA built using Angular, which utilizes IndexedDB extensively, collects image and textual data in "offline" mode (no internet service), and syncs that data with a .NET WebAPI when manually triggered (when internet service is available again). The application is used for completing home inspections by gathering information on structure/safety issues with the home along with photos captured during the inspection.
The application was built in 2017 using an Angular 5 template called "Fuse". It has been maintained since then and upgraded to Angular 9.
The application is being used in a Production capacity, but inspectors often encounter issues that we believe are related to the excessive resource utilization of the application and/or insufficient garbage collection, resulting in same/all of the following...
* Application crashing ("aw snap" message) and restarting/reloading, resulting in loss of data
* Data stored in local storage (IndexedDB) gone missing or corrupted in some way
* Sluggish performance (clicking something causes action a few seconds later, etc.)
* etc.
We need someone who understands Angular but, more importantly, understands web browsers, memory/cpu utilization, and how to use DevTools capabilities like memory profiler and performance monitor to isolate the root cause of these issues and tell us what we have done incorrectly or not according to best practices in our code so that we (or you) can correct it. You must be brilliant at this. We are prepared to pay top dollar for the best of the best.
We've hired other Angular developers with very little success in resolving these issues for us. After you've had a chance to review the application and the code, we will require specific recommendations on how to modify our code to remove these performance issues, application crashes, and data corruption. Please be prepared to discuss your experience dealing specifically with performance related issues in Angular applications or at least in JS based frameworks.
