Youtube streaming app for Android

I'm able to build and load it to a phone, but it crashes with the "Need Remote Consent" error (see attached). I assume it has smth to do with the Authentification flow.
I need the following:
1) solve the issue described above
2) add functionality to overlay text and images on top of the streamed video. At this point, I don't have any specific text or image in mind - it's just about developing functionality and creating an interface to update the text and image on the fly.
