Yarndy: Social & Work Group App Design, Web interface and Free Database
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
Wanted - someone to design a web interface and a mobile app for Android and Apple that does the following:
1. The app is called Yarndy and is based around groups. Groups have a similar function to PHP message boards and have a discussion board with topics, and a private messaging feature as well.
2. Everyone who joins Yarndy has to be a member of two groups - a work group, and a social group.
3. The functionality of each group is the same, but one is more work focussed and the other is more socially focussed.
4. Everyone can only be a member of one work group, and one social group at any one time.
5. Each group can only have a maximum of 60 members
6. People can create a group, or search for, and apply to join, an existing group. Existing members in a group can invite someone to join their group. So there needs to be a process for that person to accept that invitation and be admitted to the group.
7. The group chats are not visible to members outside of that group.
8. Any member of any group can send a private message to another member of any other group
9. There is a separate database in which members of all groups can list goods and services, that anyone from any group can have for free.
10. On this database people can also request goods and services that they would like for free.
11. The public can see what is in this database but can only request to have any of the items once they are a member of both a work group and social group
12. An item or service can be given to either an individual member - or the group as a whole
13. Every time an item or service is given away, depending on if it goes to a person or a group, then the person and group's name is displayed, or just the group name is displayed. The item or service is then listed as no longer available.
14. There needs to be an admin panel where the admins can create, modify and delete groups, as well as members and their comments - and any goods or services in the database of free things.
15. The full functionality of the groups and the free goods and services database is also accessible online through a web browser where members can log into their account and can access everything
I will provide the hosting space for the web interface and databases
You will upload the app into the Apple and Google Play stores in to an account I provide. The app will be available for free
Payment will be in 5 milestones:
• The group functionality is working on the apps (Points 1 to 8 above.) $200
• The database in which goods and services are listed or requested is fully functional via the apps and both individual members and groups have full access to it $200 (Points 9 to 13 above.)
• The admin panel is fully functional $200 (Point 14)
• All the features are also available through a web browser and not just the aps $200 (Point 15)
