Textmeup Works only using VPN, need help

textmeup android app only works using vpn.. not without vpn.. i need someone to help me tweak this setting.
if someone can tell me how to fix this instantly, i can pay $20 CAD immediately. its a short fix i'm sure.
To explain further, Textmeup is a android app which is used to send text messages/phone calls .. its a voip app. However, the app only works using VPN.. if vpn is disconnected, the app doesn't work to send messages or calls
