Technical Support: Run several programs simultaneously on Android Phone

Dear Freelancer,
I would need to understand whether the following is possible technically and how it can be done.
I am running two or more different programs/apps on my phone that I want to keep processing even when I switch to another window. So just as an example, I play a video on an app in two different versions.
However, only the app that is opened is performing the task - in this case playing the video. The app in the backgound stopped playing the video or performing the task in general.
I would like to have a way that the apps continue their tasks/processing even if they are only running in the background.
Let me know if something is unclear I am happy to clarify. If this is technically not feasible please just ignore the project.
