Simple Mobile App (Android/iOS) with Bluetooth Connection to Polar Verity Sense and Server Communication
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
We are looking for a mobile app developer to build a simple application for Android and/or iOS. The app should connect via Bluetooth to the Polar Verity Sense smartwatch, retrieve raw data, and either store it locally and/or send it online to a remote server. The server's response will be displayed in a minimal format within the app.
Key Project Highlights:
• The main focus is on stable Bluetooth connectivity with the Polar Verity Sense and real-time communication with a server.
• The official Polar BLE SDK is provided for both Kotlin (Android) and Swift (iOS). Documentation for Polar Verity Sense is available here:
https://github.com/polarofficial/polar-ble-sdk/blob/master/documentation/products/PolarVeritySense.md
• The app UI will be kept simple, with no complex design required.
• Code should be written in a way that is easily extendable for future development phases.
Requirements:
• Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication, ideally with wearable devices.
• Ability to work with APIs for sending and receiving data.
• Familiarity with Kotlin for Android and/or Swift for iOS.
• Clear and brief code documentation.
Scope of Phase 1:
1. Connect to Polar Verity Sense via Bluetooth and retrieve raw data using the provided SDK.
2. Save the data locally and/or send it to a server via API.
3. Display the server’s response in the app in a simple format.
4. Test the app on at least one real device.
