React Native PoC App for Video Recording and Voice Command Detection

We are seeking an experienced React Native developer to build a Proof of Concept (PoC) mobile app for Android. The primary objective of this project is to demonstrate the capability of a mobile application that records video in the background and responds to voice commands.
1. Background Video Recording:
Implement a background service using React Native to continuously record the last 1-minute video feed from the device’s back camera using a rolling buffer. Ensure that the recording persists even when the app is in the background.
2. Voice Command Recognition:
The app should listen for a specific wake word ("save recording"). Upon recognizing the command, it should save the last 1-minute video clip to local storage and provide vocal confirmation (e.g., "Recording saved.").
3. Local Storage and API Communication:
Saved videos should be stored locally and then uploaded to a mock API endpoint to simulate real-world integration.
4. Optimization and Quality Assurance:
Ensure that the video maintains a quality of 1080p and implement storage optimization techniques to manage the size and retention of video files efficiently.
5. Technical Requirements:
- Use a foreground service for continuous recording.
- Implement on-device wake word detection using available tools (e.g., Picovoice Porcupine).
- Handle video compression and rolling buffer for storage management.
- Ensure the app includes mock API interactions and periodic voice feedback without interfering with the ongoing voice recognition.
6. Deliverables:
- A fully functional React Native application meeting all specified requirements.
- Complete source code with detailed documentation and setup instructions in a GitHub repository.
- A demonstration video or GIF showcasing the app functionality.
