Offline Trading Journal App - 08/03/2026 05:53 EDT
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I’m building a personal trading companion for Android that lets me size positions before I press “buy”, jot every trade into a structured journal, review my discipline with clear statistics, and keep an eye on total portfolio risk—all without ever sending a single byte to the cloud. Everything lives locally on-device, and the experience has to feel instant, smooth, and pleasant enough for multiple check-ins a day.
Core flow
• Position-size calculator → user keys in entry, stop, risk % and the app returns exact quantity.
• Trade journal → fast form to log entry, exit, notes, screenshots (stored locally).
• Performance dashboards → offline calculations of win rate, expectancy, drawdown, etc., with lightweight charts that render fluently even on older phones.
• Portfolio risk monitor → aggregates open positions so I can see current exposure at a glance.
Key principles
• Works entirely offline; no login, no accounts, no personal data collection.
• Minimalist, clean UI—the design should disappear so the data stands out.
• Lightweight APK, rapid startup, 60 fps scrolling.
• Developed for Android first; Kotlin + Jetpack Compose/Material 3 and Room or an equally efficient local db are perfect fits, but I’m open to your preferred stack as long as performance and privacy remain top priority.
Timeline
I’d like a first usable build ASAP, with iterative polishing afterward. Once we agree on terms, I’ll share a detailed specification and technical scope document to guide development and ensure we stay aligned.
Deliverables
1. Production-ready APK and signed AAB.
2. Source code with clear comments and build instructions.
3. Brief hand-off video or call walking through architecture, storage schema, and how new analytics can be slotted in later.
If you have prior experience with trading apps, offline-first data design, or crafting sleek Compose interfaces, I’d love to see it. Let’s create a tool traders can trust every single day.
