Offline Rangefinder App Migration
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
My current application lives inside the Base 44 platform and its sole purpose is to convert passive, reticle-based observations into reliable distance readings for every style of long-range shooting—from bench-rest and outdoor range work to hunting or tactical training. I now want to break free of the Base 44 dependency and give users a fully self-contained mobile experience that works with zero signal.
Scope of work
• Examine the existing Base 44 build and extract or rebuild the core distance-calculation logic.
• Package it as an independent, offline-first mobile app for iOS and Android (I’m open to React Native, Flutter, or separate native builds—advise on the best route).
• Preserve the current accuracy and usability while adding local data storage for user profiles, custom reticle inputs, and shot logs.
• Produce installable builds plus source code, ready for future store submission.
Once you have a clear plan and estimate for the app, I’d also like a separate quote for:
• A lightweight marketing website / landing page that explains the app’s long-range-shooting use cases, showcases screenshots, and captures email leads.
• Basic brand assets and copywriting suitable for the site and future App Store / Google Play listings.
Please outline your approach to the migration, any questions about the existing Base 44 code, and a rough timeline for both the app and the optional web-marketing package.
