Motion-Triggered Photo Capture Mobile App

Job ID: 39205016

Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD

I'm seeking a skilled mobile app developer to create a high-speed motion-tracking "Photo Finish" app for Android (primary) and iOS (secondary). This app will automatically capture still images at the exact moment a dog crosses the start line of a high-speed race (120+ FPS video processing).

The app should also automatically sync captured images between devices so the tracking device remains stationary, ensuring uninterrupted race recording.

Key Features:
-High-FPS Motion Capture: The app must detect motion breaking a predefined reference line and capture a precise still image.
-Real-Time Image Syncing: Automatically send captured images to paired devices using Wi-Fi Direct, eliminating the need to move the recording device.
-Seamless Photo Management: Photos must be stored locally on the device and synced with connected devices.
-User-Friendly Calibration: A simple setup interface will allow users to define the reference line for detection.

Ideal Skills:
-Experience in cross-platform mobile app development.
-Proficiency in motion detection & high-FPS video processing.
-Knowledge of Wi-Fi Direct for real-time image syncing.
-Ability to create an intuitive, user-friendly interface.

*Note:
This app is designed for sports timing, not general security or surveillance. The primary goal is to capture the exact moment of crossing, not continuous motion alerts.

**Clarifications to Avoid Overengineering & Keep the MVP Simple:**
This app does NOT require:
❌ AI or Machine Learning – No AI-based tracking or analysis is needed in the MVP. The app only captures a still image at the moment of crossing.
❌ Internet Connection – The app will work completely offline. It will use Wi-Fi Direct for local sharing (no cloud storage required in the base version).
❌ User Accounts or Logins – There will be no user accounts or authentication. Access will be tied to the app store purchase (one-time or temporary event unlocks).
❌ Fancy UI/Animations – The interface should be simple and functional, focused on quick calibration and image capture.
✅ The focus is on a basic, reliable MVP that accurately detects motion and captures a single frame at the right moment. Developers should prioritize performance, accuracy, and ease of use over extra features.

If this aligns with your expertise, we'd love to hear your proposal!
