Mood Tracker Application Development
Budget: $10 – $200 USD
Web App Emotion Tracker (Android or iOS phone application)
For our university course, we have to outsource an MVP for an idea of our choosing. Our project is an emotion and mental health tracking app, allowing users to track their mental health, and automatically find resources or recommend help from mental health professionals based on the app's diagnosis/recommendation system. This system should be a short multiple-choice questionnaire with ML being able to diagnose their status after a given period of time.
We are not expecting to produce something that works particularly effectively, but includes all of the features /functions mentioned below.
Each user should create an account and all user data should be stored in Cloud Server (eg. Google Cloud)
The app contains 4 pages, and the basic functions on each page can be used for reference:
1. To enable users to find the day that has been recorded quickly, a calendar page is first created to visualise the feelings being recorded, which is the main page of the app.
2. Secondly, the associated "record feelings" page will open up when you click the relevant date in the calendar. Users can quickly choose the date to record and edit their emotions. The current page displays a portion of the diary's content. It should have the function of generating a poster and sharing it on social media. Feelings can be recorded based on multiple-choice responses from a short questionnaire regarding the user's current mental health status.
3. In the diary page, users can select from a selection of fonts to keep a diary, and insert images. It may also show and save that day's location, time and weather.
4. Last, based on the proportion and frequency of the user's mood and the content of the diaries, the monthly report will analyse the user's emotions and give the appropriate advice on the analysis page. The advice could be 'to seek a mental health professional', start mindfulness practice etc, but should be determined based on the results of the user's emotional input. This could be done using NLP and a basic ML algorithm.
Feel free to add the chatbot, forum, log-in, and profile buttons on the main page.
The developer should be experienced in iOS development or Android development
The app mainly focuses on cloud savviness.
Timeline: Completed by 20th March 2023.
