Modify an existing Android app layout + small fixing small issues

Hi,
i have an existing app which needs a design upgrade but i don't have the time to do it myself.
In the attachment you see on the right side how it looks right now. Your job is it to make it look similar to the picture on the left side.
The app is based on this open source Bluetooth serial monitor:

If you are up for it and can do it fast. Let me know.
If you can solve these two issues. That would give you a tip:
1. This app scans for Bluetooth devices. But it only shows devices if i manually give Location Permissions to the app (Under Android settings). Can't the app don't get these permissions during install?
2. This app connects to a Bluetooth device (ESP32). With older android versions (I believe 8 and lower) the app can connect automatically without pairing in Bluetooth settings.
But with new Android versions. I have to manually pair the device in Bluetooth settings first. Any way around that?
