Mobile App for On-Demand Security Monitoring

Job ID: 38717282

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I'm seeking a skilled mobile app developer to create a dual-platform (iOS & Android) app for my security company. This app should empower clients to request on-demand monitoring with a simple "on/off" button. Key features should include:

Key Features and Requirements:
1. Platform:
Mobile App: The app must work on both iOS and Android platforms.
Login and Profile: Each client should have a secure login (email and password) and a profile page to view and adjust their monitoring preferences.
2. Main Functionality:
On/Off Monitoring Button:
Clients press a button to turn monitoring on or off.
When on, the app sends a real-time notification to my monitoring team (VAs), informing them that the client has requested monitoring.
The client receives a confirmation notification when monitoring starts.
When off, the client is notified, and the VAs stop monitoring that property.
Each "on" or "off" request is logged with a timestamp in a centralized system (see logging options below).
3. Notifications:
Real-Time Notifications:
When a client presses "on," the VA team receives a notification with the following details:
Client name.
Time monitoring was turned on.
Specific monitoring preferences (if any, like focus on front door, backyard).
When monitoring is turned off, the VAs are notified as well.
4. Data Logging:
Logging Options:
The app must log all monitoring requests (on/off, client name, time) in one of the following:
Google Sheets: A simple logging solution for tracking start/stop times and client data.
Firebase: A scalable, real-time database for storing all client monitoring activity.
Custom Database (MySQL/PostgreSQL): For future scalability, the app can log requests and activity in a custom-built database.
5. Monitoring Preferences:
Clients should be able to set custom preferences in their profile, such as:
Which zones or cameras to monitor (e.g., front door, backyard).
Scheduled monitoring (e.g., automatically turn monitoring on from 9 AM to 5 PM).
6. Snooze Feature:
When a client turns on monitoring, the app should focus on that client’s house and snooze other clients unless they trigger an alert. VAs will only focus on active clients, with others temporarily paused.
7. VA Workflow:
The VA team will receive real-time notifications when clients turn monitoring on.
The app should have a simple system for VAs to manage multiple client requests, including:
Switching between clients based on notifications.
Receiving movement alerts (optional) from Ring or similar systems.
8. Scalability:
The app must be scalable to handle hundreds of clients and multiple VAs as the business grows. The notification and logging systems should be designed with scalability in mind.
Optional Features (Future Phases):
VA Dashboard: A web-based or in-app dashboard for VAs to manage and monitor multiple clients more easily.
Client Alerts: In the future, allow clients to receive alerts when movement is detected in their designated zones.
Notifications and Alerts:
Use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) or a similar service to handle push notifications for clients and VAs.

Ideal candidates should have previous experience in mobile app development, particularly for security services, and a proven track record of building scalable systems. Good communication skills are crucial, as I would appreciate your input on optimal design and functionality.
