Migrate Service to Workmanager

I have an application running and I use Service to listen for changes in firebase and when these changes occur it shows a dialog, but the service has some disadvantages and I saw that workmanager is complete and the best to use at the moment, but I'm having this difficulty getting it to run what was in the service for the workmanager.
