MVP of Android App for hyperlocal literature
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Project Description:
We are looking for an experienced Android developer to build an MVP for ProxiProse, a hyperlocal literary platform. The app will have four main functionalities encapsulated within clickable tiles on the starting page.
Required Skills:
Expertise in Android Development using Java or Kotlin
Experience with Google Maps API (or alternative) for geolocation-based features
Basic understanding of AR development, specifically ARCore
Experience with databases, preferably Firebase
Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles
Project Elements and Detailed Requirements:
1. Starting Page with Four Clickable Tiles
a) Globe Section
Implement a zoomable 3D globe using an appropriate API or custom rendering.
Admins should be able to pin information to specific coordinates on the globe.
b) Browse Section
List all pins from the globe in a scrollable view.
Each pin should be clickable, leading to more detailed information.
c) AR Environment Mockup
Create a mockup of an AR environment where the pins from the globe appear as spinning medals.
These medals should be clickable, leading to more information.
d) User Project Post Section
Implement a form with fields for "id", "body", "location", and "tag".
Users should be able to submit this form to post their projects.
Deliverables:
Source code of the fully functional MVP
Documentation explaining the code structure and how to maintain it
A basic admin panel for pinning information to the globe (can be web-based)
An APK file for initial testing and feedback
Timeline:
We are looking to have the MVP completed within 3-4 weeks from the project start date.
To Apply:
Please provide a portfolio of similar Android projects you have completed.
Provide an initial estimate of how many hours you think will be needed to complete the project.
Optionally, provide any suggestions you might have to make the project better.
