MERN Mobile App with Notifications
Budget: ₹1,250 – ₹2,500 INR
I’m building an Android-only application powered by the MERN stack—MongoDB, Express, React Native, and Node.js. The goal of this first milestone is straightforward: create the full stack foundation and prove that push notifications flow end-to-end.
You’ll set up the backend API in Node/Express, connect it to a MongoDB instance, and build the React Native front-end. The app itself can be a simple demo shell for now; what matters is that I can trigger a notification from the server (for example via Firebase Cloud Messaging or a comparable service) and see it arrive on an Android device.
Deliverable
• Complete MERN codebase in a Git repository, including the React Native project, Express server, and MongoDB schema
• An installable APK demonstrating a successful push notification round-trip
• A concise README explaining setup, build commands, and how to send a test notification
No user authentication or in-app purchases need to be wired up yet, so keep the architecture clean and modular for those features later. Well-commented code and clear commit history will make future expansions—like iOS support—faster and easier.
