Kotlin Android Developer for Nido
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 AUD
I’m ready to bring Nido, an AI-powered family safety app for the Spanish-speaking market, from a finished Firebase + Claude AI backend to Google Play. UI/UX designs provided as a fully functional
HTML reference dashboard, so you can focus on solid Kotlin implementation rather than visual guesswork.
The app runs in two clearly separated modes:
• Child mode lives quietly in the background, harvesting WhatsApp / Instagram notifications through NotificationListenerService, tracking GPS and app-usage events, and posting everything to Firebase Realtime DB without being killed by battery optimisation.
• Parent mode signs in, streams the AI-generated alerts, shows realtime location on a map, and receives FCM pushes whenever something requires attention.
Besides Firebase and Claude, a handful of extra APIs will be wired in (think Google Maps, subscription billing, and a lightweight analytics SDK). I will supply the keys and endpoint specs; you’ll take care of clean integration.
What I’m specifically looking for
– Kotlin only, no legacy Java code
– Demonstrated experience with NotificationListenerService, foreground/background services that survive Doze, and Realtime DB + FCM
– At least one published app on the Play Store I can download
– Comfortable communicating in Spanish; all repo comments and tickets are in that language
Deliverables
1. Fully functional Android app (parent & child builds) matching the provided Figma designs and screen-size guidelines
2. Source code in a Git repository using a modern architecture (MVVM with Hilt or similar), exhaustive README and setup scripts
3. Play Store-ready bundles, signed and built against the latest stable SDK
4. Short video walkthrough confirming background data capture and real-time alert flow
5. Post-delivery support for initial bug fixes as we roll out to beta testers
Acceptance criteria will be the successful upload of both modes to our internal testing track, stable data sync under aggressive battery settings, and clean UI parity with the designs.
