Java Android App with Google Maps

The project involves building an Android App with Java
Users will register and access their profiles from the main menu
The main functionality of the app is to find places (i.e. restaurants, pubs, etc.) on a map based on categories and/or filters
Based on Google API, these locations will be retrieved from a database and displayed on a map
Users should be able to display the results on a map or in a list
Users should be able to view more information about a selected place
Users should be able to rate, review, and add a place to favorite.
Map markers should display users' favorites in different color
