Integrate VPN capability or a npm package to react-native app for Android

We are looking for an experienced react native developer with A VPN app experience who can help us integrate a VPN package into our mobile app. No UI development requirement we just need a proof of concept that can work for android.

We have been able to make the IOS integration work so we only need help with VPN integration for the android portion of the app.

We've tested a few different packages with no luck, there are some packages that can work with somewhat little modification, however, it requires Java knowledge which we don't have in the team.

We are open to using different npm packages or a custom solution.


Here are the requirements

- Create a blank react-native app with the latest version of the create react app
- Either use a package like (https://github.com/cristinaITdeveloper/react-native-ipsec-ikev2#readme) or provide a custom solution
Android only;
- App should create a VPN profile and add it to the client
- App should be able to connect to VPN or disconnect
- App should display the status of the connection (disconnected, connected)
- App should be able to get status updates from the server that detects connection or disconnection)
- VPN should support IPSEC, being able to support IKEV2 is a huge plus
- After a successful integration short integration documentation should be provided and the solution should be explained with source files.
