Project Overview:
IIT Tirupati is organizing an Inter-IIT Sports Meet, featuring Chess, Weightlifting, and Tennis. To ensure seamless event management and real-time engagement, we require the development of 1 Android application with 2 logins. Admin and users/students — one for participants and another for administrators (organizers) — both integrated with our event backend via secure APIs.
The apps should be fast, modern, and user-friendly, supporting live score updates, participant registration with QR-based meal access, gate entry logs, notifications, and real-time announcements.

1. App Modules Overview
A. Student / Participant App
• User Registration & Authentication
o Registration based on a pre-approved list of student emails.
o Verification via OTP or email validation.
• QR Code Generation
o Once registered, each participant gets a unique QR code (containing roll number, email ID, and participant ID).
o The QR will be scanned at the venue for:
 Meal access (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) — allowed only once per meal time window.
 Gate entry/exit logging by the security team.
• Live Scores & Results
o View ongoing match scores, schedules, and final results (fetched via API).
• Push Notifications
o Receive updates such as match timings, announcements, and result alerts using Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
• Event Info & Help
o Pages for emergency contact details, medical help, and venue information.
• Gallery Module
o View photos and videos uploaded by admin in real-time.
• Profile
o View personal info, event participation details, and registered sports.

B. Admin / Organizer App
• Admin Authentication
o Secure login with role-based access (e.g., Meal Admin, Security Admin, Event Admin).
• QR Scanner
o Scan participant QR codes for:
 Meal verification – allow once per meal session; reject if scanned again.
 Gate Entry/Exit – log every IN/OUT scan with timestamp and location.
• Live Score Entry
o Forms to update match scores, results, and leaderboards (connected via backend API).
• Gallery Management
o Upload photos and videos to display in the participant app and website gallery.
• Notifications
o Send push notifications (via Firebase) to all users or targeted groups (e.g., “Tennis updates only”).
• Reports & Logs
o View scan logs (meal and gate access), participant attendance, and overall event activity.

2. Backend Integration
• They must be fully API-driven.
• The backend will handle:
o Participant data validation (via pre-approved email list)
o QR code generation and validation
o Score and result updates
o Gallery media storage
o Notification dispatch
o Logging for gate and meal entries
• APIs should also be reusable by the event website for showing live scores and galleries.

3. Technical Requirements
• Frontend: Android (Kotlin or Flutter preferred) or React Native
• Backend: Node.js / Python (Django/FastAPI)
• Database: MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Notifications: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)
• Authentication: JWT-based secure login
• QR Code Handling: ZXing or ML Kit for QR scanning
• API Communication: REST or GraphQL
• Deployment: Play Store + APK build provided for local distribution

4. Additional Requirements
• Developer must be open to incorporating minor additional features or enhancements during development.
• Apps should follow Google’s Material Design guidelines and be responsive and lightweight.
• All source code, API documentation, and admin credentials must be handed over upon completion.
• Optional: Provide admin web dashboard for content and user management (if feasible within timeline).
