I need a robust server-side solution that can handle both user authentication and a prepaid billing workflow for a public Wi-Fi hotspot environment. The core requirement is that every connection is securely authenticated and then metered against a prepaid balance, with seamless top-ups processed through popular mobile payment systems.
I am flexible on the exact sign-in flow; we can go with the classic username-and-password scheme, email verification, or even a social-login layer if it streamlines onboarding. What matters most is that the experience is quick for end-users and easy for me to manage behind the scenes.
Key deliverables
• A fully functional authentication module tied to the hotspot controller, enforcing session limits and idle timeouts.
• A prepaid accounting engine that deducts time or bandwidth from each user’s balance in real time.
• Integrated payment gateway for mobile wallets (e.g., M-Pesa, Apple Pay, Google Pay or similar) so customers can purchase or top up credit without leaving the captive portal.
• Administrative dashboard to create plans, view usage logs, and generate basic revenue reports.
• Clean documentation plus deployment scripts or container definitions so I can replicate the setup on additional nodes later.
