Hi,

I need a help, because I made the biggest digital mistake of my entire life.
My father and mother died last year, with 21 days between their deaths, and now seems that they died again for me, cause I lost 10y of whatsapp messaging.

On April 19th, at the end of day. tired from work, I went to transfer my own whatsapp from the galaxy note 8 that belonged to my father (who passed away last year) and I was using it there, for my galaxy s9+ device.

So I made a last backup of my data via app to my google drive (30GB) and made the biggest mistake of my entire life. I deleted my whatsapp account (from galaxy note 8) and went to install it again on the other device (galaxy s9+).

I didn't notice there was a message saying they would also delete my own backup inside my google drive!!!

I mean, it was an unbelievable mistake I made. When installing on the other phone, I noticed that whatsapp didn't ask which google drive account it would restore the backup from, I turned pale to see whatsapp opening blank. I went on the galaxy note 8, and I saw that when I deleted the account, whatsapp deleted the files too, that is, the msgstore.db.crypt 14 database and also the ones from the previous days, in addition to the photos and images.

So I reactivated the account on the galaxy note 8 to ask whatsapp for help via the app, but I already knew that I would only be answered by bots.

So I turned off the device, it has 128GB ram and still has several GB free, particularly I don't believe that those small dbcrypt files were overwritten, as the use was almost none after the tragedy, and I turned it off right away.

Whatsapp store all of this on a hidden folder "Backups" insise "STORAGE > BACKUPS" that we don't have access to do nothing there.

I am with a ticket opened at google to try to recover that, but seems almost impossible at google drive.

I don't know if it's possible for me to root my galaxy note 8 without losing data, and if it's possible I know that if I take a wrong step I can lose everything forever.

It seems to me that this kingroot would do that, but I'm too afraid of doing something wrong, so could you help me with this?

It's more because of the messages with my parents myself, than with the rest I've lost.

Attached is info about my galaxy note 8.

If it's possible to root, i need help to do that and also help to which program can be possible to "undelete" that whatsapp database (or previous database backups).

Thank you,
Sergio
