Android Firmware Developer Needed for Headless CRDroid Modification
Description:
We are seeking an experienced Android firmware developer to assist our in-house developer in modifying CRDroid to operate in a headless mode (i.e., without a physical display). The goal is to ensure CRDroid can boot and run without a screen attached, while still supporting screen mirroring via USB or Ethernet for control and monitoring purposes.
Our project involves working with Samsung phone motherboards, which are connected to a Windows PC via USB or Ethernet. These devices are used for automation and testing, and it's essential that the solution is stable for long-term operation.
Key Tasks:
- Modify CRDroid or AOSP to bypass physical display dependencies.
- Enable virtual display support or other methods to allow screen mirroring without an attached display.
- Work closely with our in-house developer to implement and test the solution.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with Android firmware development, AOSP, or custom ROMs (preferably CRDroid).
- Strong understanding of Android Device Tree, init scripts, and boot process.
- Experience in handling display drivers and screen mirroring technologies.
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with our development team.
