We are seeking experienced Freelance Developers to join our team, specializing in support, code cleaning, and the identification and resolution of crashes within our innovative mobile application for the dental industry and its associated backend infrastructure. Our application requires profound knowledge in image analysis, mathematical functions, and data transfer.
Job Description:
• Maintenance and Support: Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of our mobile applications for android devices and the associated backend infrastructure.
• Crash and Performance Management:
o Identifying, analyzing, and resolving crashes and performance bottlenecks in both the mobile app and the backend.
o Ensuring compatibility and optimal performance on Android devices from Android Version 10 (API Level 29) onwards.
o Monitoring and optimizing app performance to guarantee a smooth user experience and minimize data usage.
• Code Quality and Optimization:
o Continuous code cleaning and optimization, including avoiding redundant code, utilizing efficient algorithms, and lazy initialization.
o Memory optimization through techniques such as object pooling, preventing memory leaks, and effective garbage collector management.
o Effective use of code minimization tools.
• Data Transfer and Backend Integration:
o Ensuring an efficient and secure data transfer protocol between the mobile app and the server.
o Troubleshooting and optimizing server-side image libraries.
o Analyzing and resolving issues in server-side user interfaces (e.g., admin panels).
Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Profound knowledge of Android application development, ideally from Android Version 10 (API Level 29) onwards. Android apps can be written with Java and C++. Knowledge of installing the application in Google Play Story.
• Expert knowledge in Java (must-have criterion) is essential, as it remains a robust choice. This includes solid knowledge of system optimization techniques such as code optimization, memory optimization, battery optimization, network optimization, and UI/UX optimization.
• Experience with the Android Native Development Kit (NDK), especially for working with C/C++ code and resolving memory-related issues. This includes the use of smart pointers (like std::shared_ptr and std::unique_ptr), avoiding manual memory allocation (malloc() and free()), and the application of memory profiling tools such as Valgrind and Android Studio Profiler.
• Skills in debugging and error handling. This includes the ability to use profiling tools like the Android Studio Profiler to analyze app performance in real-time and identify areas requiring optimization.
• Understanding of camera function integration and the implementation of image analysis and mathematical algorithm functions within the app, ideally with experience in libraries such as Firebase ML Kit. Knowledge of color image reproduction and color theory
• Experience with Node.js as a backend technology, particularly its asynchronous, non-blocking I/O model, which is ideal for building scalable and high-performance applications. Knowledge of asynchronous programming (callbacks, promises, async/await) and error handling in the Node.js environment is important.
• Experience with Firebase as a backend option, for range of services like Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage and integrates well with Android projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of data transfer protocols between smartphone and server (e.g., RESTful APIs, GraphQL, HTTP protocols) and best practices for secure and efficient communication.
• Nice-to-know: Knowledge of Flutter (Google's UI toolkit, based on Dart), Russian
