I'm seeking a seasoned Android developer to resolve a push notification permission issue in my app, Apex Arena, specifically for Android 13 and above.
Currently, new users on Android 13+ are not receiving notifications as expected. The app utilizes OneSignal for push notifications, but there's a missing runtime prompt for notification permissions upon installation. This has resulted in OneSignal being able to send notifications to only about 10% of my total registered users.
Key tasks will include:
- Implementing the standard runtime permission request for notifications on Android 13+
- Ensuring the correct integration and initialization of the OneSignal SDK
- Conducting tests across various devices with different Android versions to confirm functionality
I will provide the APK and necessary access for you to inspect and work with. Since the original developer is unavailable, you'll be working with the existing resources.
