Background:
Bahrain Sports Lab (BASPOLAB) is a sports science center that uses scientific-based tests to measure the Resting Metabolic Rate, Fitness Level, Training Zones, and Body composition and create a personalized meal plan that helps athletes perform better at their sports and people reach their desired body shape.
The project:
BASPOLAB would like to create a fitness mobile app for IOS and Android in Arabic and English with multiple options within the app for Exercise, Nutrition, Booking, and View of Reports.
1- Exercises:
This module will allow the customer to plan their workout and will send them reminders on their workout plans. We as admins can do the plan for them from the back end as well.
The module will also allow the clients to record their actual workout (time and type) and will calculate the calories based on international standards estimations. The app should also be able to pull information from any fitness tracker (such as Apple Watch, Samsung Health, etc..) and record it as exercise details.
The module should be able to track steps available on the phone.
The module must generate a report for the total exercises for a specified period (workout time, calories, planned, and actual).
2- Nutrition:
This module will have some information about meals already uploaded to the backend with nutrition facts for each meal.
This module will allow the user to take pictures of their meals and upload them to the app, choose the meal if it is already inserted, or insert a new meal added to the database (with approval from admin).
The app will also have the chance to randomly generate a meal plan if the customer has subscribed for the service. The meal-plan rules will be inserted by the admin from the back end and the user will only have the chance to choose their preferences from food and allergies. The app must be able to randomize and generate a random meal plan based on the rules inserted.
3- Access to Reports:
Each user must have a unique username, and if they came to BASPOLAB for any service we can upload the report to their profile for them to download it at any point in time.
4- Booking:
The user must be able to book a new appointment/change their booking/cancel their booking within the terms and conditions of the lab.
5- Notifications:
If the user has a planned exercise, reached maximum calories, did not record meal/exercise, the lab has uploaded a report, or the user has upcoming appointments, the app must send a notification automatically.
We would like the bidder to provide milestones for the project and a clear plan of implementation. Kindly share any samples that you have already worked on in the past.
