Enhanced Android Map Application Development

I require a proficient Android Developer with strong knowledge of Android Studio and Google Places API. The development requires integration of a self-created map with it's colors and signs into an app, with functionalities including search and display of locations and possibly display of estimated times and distances.

Key Tasks:

- Map Integration: Add our self-made Google Places-based map into a new or existing Android app
- Display & Search Locations: Enable users to search for specific locations and to have those displayed on the map
- Estimated Time & Distance: Depending on the location selected, present estimated time and distances

Please note, design suggestions on how to best display locations are welcome and appreciated, since no specific layout has been decided yet. Demonstrated experience in similar projects is a must. Your proposal should include examples of your previous work, specifically any with map integration.

Only Android platform compatibility is required for this project.
