Project Description:
We are looking for a skilled freelance developer to build a minimum viable product (MVP) for a digital signage platform called Blue Box Technology.
The goal is to remotely manage screens and display multimedia content (videos, images) through desktop and Android apps connected to a backend CMS.
Scope of Work:
Electron App (Windows/Linux):
A desktop application to be installed on digital signage displays. It should play scheduled content retrieved from a backend.
Android App:
A simplified version of the player app that automatically updates content from the backend and runs in fullscreen mode.
Backend + CMS (Web):
Upload and manage media files
Assign content to specific screens
Schedule content by time and date
Monitor screen status (online/offline)
Preferred technologies include Supabase, Firebase, or Node.js.
Documentation:
Basic user and deployment documentation.
Code Quality:
Clean, maintainable code with best practices.
Preferred Stack:
Electron.js
Flutter or React Native for Android
Supabase or Firebase (DB, Storage, Auth)
Node.js (optional)
REST API or WebSocket for syncing
Timeline:
2 to 4 weeks to deliver a working MVP.
Nice to Have (Optional):
Experience with kiosk or embedded display systems
Familiarity with media players (e.g., Video.js) or WebView apps
Interest in integrating AI features in the future (e.g., OpenAI, GPT-based)
Language and Communication:
Spanish preferred, English acceptable.
Weekly check-ins via email or call are expected.
