Custom Android ROM for MT8168
Budget: $700 – $1,000 USD
I have a Mediatek 8168-based tablet (board ID tb8168p1_bsp, retail model Score 7T). I can put the device into BROM mode with mtkclient and it identifies as “SBC enabled = true”. What I need now is a fully working Android build custom-tailored for this hardware and a reliable procedure to get it flashed onto the tablet.
The goal is a clean, stable Android ROM—version is flexible, so feel free to recommend the best fit for MTK 8168 in terms of driver support and security updates. I do not yet have a suitable ROM image, so I’m looking for someone who can build or port one from source (AOSP or other open-source base) and walk me through flashing it.
Key deliverables
• Bootable Android system image (system, vendor, boot, dtbo, vbmeta, etc.) compatible with tb8168p1_bsp
• Scatter file or equivalent ready for mtkclient
• Rooting left disabled by default, SafetyNet intact if possible
• Step-by-step flashing guide, plus any scripts or commands (mtkclient, fastboot, ADB) required
• Post-flash verification: tablet boots, touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, audio, cameras and sensors all functional
I already have mtkclient set up on a Win10 host and can test builds quickly. If there are secure boot or SBC work-arounds needed, detail those as part of the instructions.
