Cross-Platform NFC Lighting Configurator
Budget: £5,000 – £10,000 GBP
I need a production-ready NFC mobile app that runs natively on both iOS and Android and communicates with our emergency-lighting control gear. The core workflow is:
• Detect the NFC tag on each luminaire’s control gear.
• Read and display:
– Device Type
– GTIN number
– Serial number
– Software & Hardware version
– Current operational status
• Configure one key setting: turn the DALI power-supply rail on or off.
• Save every read or write session to a plain-text log file that can be shared or archived.
I will supply sample gear, the current NFC tag specification, and the DALI command required for the power-rail toggle. The finished solution should include:
– A clean, technician-friendly UI.
– Robust tag-error handling and confirmation prompts before writing.
– Local caching so readings are preserved even when offline, with an option to export the log via email, cloud drive, or AirDrop/Share Sheet.
– Source code, build instructions, and signed binaries ready for TestFlight and Google Play internal testing.
– Brief developer documentation outlining how new parameters could be added later.
Use any cross-platform stack you prefer (React Native, Flutter, Kotlin Multiplatform, etc.) as long as it delivers native-level NFC performance on both operating systems. Please outline your proposed tech stack, timelines, and any prior NFC or DALI experience when you respond.
